SCS FOUNDATION OVERVIEW
Our History
Supportive Care Services Foundation (SCS Foundation) is a community-based adult service organization established in 2016. The organization was founded by the shared vision of individuals that recognized the importance of finding solutions to address health disparities driven by social and economic inequities in Southern California, especially in the Vietnamese population.
The organization aims to enhance the quality of life and well-being of members of the community through raising awareness with:
- Patient-health educational workshops
- Community engagement through various events
- Advocacy by providing various services
SCS Foundation also provides referrals for people in need that lack adequate access to government assistance and healthcare services due to, but not limited to cultural and language barriers regardless of their income, and legal status.
Our Vision
The Supportive Care Services Foundation visions a world where disparities driven by social and economic inequities are eliminated, and quality of life and well-being of members in the community are improved with poverty reduction, equal access to healthcare, and positive life-style changes within the community transformed by service. The SCS Foundation, also known as Hội Chăm Sóc Toàn Diện, stresses the importance of ongoing partnerships with the individual, their family, and their community and would like to become the primary access center that takes initiative in providing quality service with assisting those in need.
